Hello,
my name is Adam Tomášek.

I work purely B2B — supplying Conforti hydraulic cylinders to manufacturers in automotive, mechanical engineering and automation across the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the wider EU. I handle every order personally and individually, from the first proposal to the delivery of the cylinder. Write or call.

Verified authorisation

Conforti Oleodinamica S.r.l.

I supply the cylinders under the manufacturer’s official appointment. The complete letter of authorisation is available as a PDF.

I have worked with Conforti Oleodinamica S.r.l. since 2023, and since 2025 I have been its exclusive distributor for the Czech Republic. Deliveries also go to Slovakia and other EU countries. I supply double-acting hydraulic cylinders to ISO 6020/2 and ISO 6022 — guiding design engineers and technicians from the proposal through 3D CAD models to the delivery of the cylinder.

Frequently asked questions

Selecting hydraulic cylinders

What comes up most often in practice — from sizing and cushioning to CAD models and what happens after the quotation.

The most common problem is not the cylinder itself but incorrect sizing for the specific application. The cylinder must match the real conditions: force, stroke, mounting and operating environment.

Solution
  • size the cylinder as a whole, according to the application
  • account for force, stroke, mounting and environment
  • for more precise applications, consider smart cylinders with a position sensor

A theoretical force calculation does not always match real operation — there are losses from friction, pressure drops and dynamic loading. The cylinder is part of a whole system.

Solution
  • size the cylinder with an adequate margin
  • consider the whole system, not just the cylinder
  • get the guiding, mounting and loading right

On long strokes, rod stability is decisive. The longer the stroke, the higher the risk of losing stability (buckling) and of uneven loading.

Solution
  • size the rod diameter correctly
  • match the mounting to the application
  • choose a suitable design series
  • use a spacer on longer strokes

Cushioning slows the piston at the end of the stroke and limits shocks in the end positions. Without it there is a risk of impacts, cylinder damage and shocks transmitted into the machine structure.

Front, rear or double-ended cushioning can be chosen. We recommend it at higher speeds, with heavy loads, frequent cycling and applications with end stops.

An air bleeder (bleed screw) removes air from the cylinder. Air in the system causes jerky, imprecise movement.

With vertical mounting, bleeding is practically essential — air collects in the upper part of the cylinder. In a horizontal position the problem can persist and affect the smoothness of movement.

A conventional cylinder delivers force and movement, but not precise control and feedback.

Smart cylinder with a position sensor
  • precise position measurement over the whole stroke
  • real-time motion control
  • feedback to the PLC
  • elimination of mechanical stops

A 3D model or drawing is available for a specifically configured variant. Choose the cylinder series, open the manufacturer's CAD configurator, set the parameters (the output is a configuration code) and pick a download format in the CAD section.

After receiving the quotation, simply confirm the chosen variant and send the order. The detailed procedure is described in a separate article.

What to do after receiving a quotation →

Modular cylinders have a demountable construction that eases servicing, part replacement and shortens downtime. Welded cylinders are usually harder to repair.
