Nickel-Plated Tie-Rod Hydraulic Cylinders
Nickel-plated double-acting tie-rod cylinders CD NK, DK NK and MD NK to ISO 6020/2 with a 20 µm chemically nickel-plated surface and a chrome-plated stainless steel rod — corrosion resistance of 1,200 h in salt spray (rating 10), with no heavy metals or ammonia. Operating pressure 160 bar (tested at 240 bar), bore diameters Ø 25–200 mm, 7 mounting types.
The envelope is identical to the standard CD / DK / MD, so you can replace a corroded cylinder with no machine modification at a fraction of the cost of an all-stainless one. The MD NK series adds magnetic piston-position sensors on the tie rods.

Nickel-plated, standard, or nickel-plated with sensors?
The NK version is a direct drop-in replacement for the standard CD / DK — the same bores, ISO dimensions and seals. The difference lies in the nickel protection (20 µm, 1,200 h salt spray) and the stainless rod. For dry environments the standard CD / DK is enough; for corrosion, wash-down and salt spray choose NK. MD NK adds position sensing while keeping the corrosion protection.
Where to deploy nickel-plated cylinders
Wherever standard hydraulics fail through corrosion — washing and cleaning stations with corrosive detergents, food and beverage plants with sanitation, water works, marine and offshore applications with salt spray, electroplating and surface treatment, agricultural and municipal machinery.
A cheaper replacement for an all-stainless cylinder, with the same envelope.
